Held on the Thursday evening before RTX Austin, the SideQuest Charity Gala brings together RT community members for good times and good causes. Old friends reconnect, and new ones meet for the first time, all while sipping drinks and munching delicious apps in fancy party attire.
Oh, and there’s a silent auction, featuring one-of-a-kind creations from the RT community, as well as generous donations our corporate supporters. The money raised from the auction goes to support SideQuest’s partner charities, including Extra Life, AbleGamers, Operation Supply Drop, and more. To date, the auction has raised over $46,000!

Are you one of those crafty/artistic types who can make something unique or spectacular? Or do you have a special piece of memorabilia that you’d like to donate to charity?
Most submissions to the SideQuest Charity Gala’s silent auction come from members of the RT community, and are usually hand-crafted expressions of fandom and love, and we are incredibly honored to be able to showcase them in our charity auction.
If you’d like to submit your RT-inspired or gaming-related item to the charity auction, please let us know by filling out our handy form (link above). If we agree that your submission is appropriate for the auction, we’ll happily walk you through how to get it to Austin in time for the big event.

For this year’s Charity Gala, we’re heading back to the event’s original location, but there’s a twist! The Radisson Hotel & Suites Downtown Austin is being completely renovated and transformed into The Line ATX. Under new management and with a reinvented look, the venue may seem unrecognizable to veterans of the SideQuest Charity Gala, but trust us, it’s the same (physical) place!
